Dr Suzette Atoliyah-Bature
Dentist
Dr Su as most call her, completed her Bachelor of Dental surgery degree from the University of the Western Cape and thereafter completed a PGD in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Pretoria. Dr. Su is known for being gentle, friendly and patient. She enjoys treating children, young and the old. Most of all, she is passionate about what she does.

What Is Tooth Sensitivity and Why Do I Have It?
Patients with tooth sensitivity feel discomfort with a problematic tooth/teeth when they eat certain foods or drinks that are hot, cold, sweet, or acidic. Sensitivity happens when tooth enamel, which usually protects the tooth’s pulp and dentin, is thinned from repeated exposure to acidity and other conditions.
What should I know before my first dental appointment?
- Make sure you have eaten
- Carry your identity document
- Know your medical history and if possible know the names of any medication you are taking.
- Brush and floss your teeth. Don’t forget your tongue!
